Very lightweight pack

5 out of 5 stars

Very lightweight pack
This backpack is very minimalistic. It is extremely lightweight, since there is not much to it. It does have some small pockets for carrying the essentials. The water bag can be hooked in so that it stays in place while hiking or jogging. The side straps have lots of adjustability, so this can fit a grade school aged child all the way up through an adult female. It is suitable for a short hike, since it is so easy to wear. The current price of $21.99 is a good value for this little pack.

I love this hydration vest backpack! It’s lightweight, easy to assemble, and comfortable to wear, even for longer outings. The hydration bladder is simple to fill, and the drinking tube is easy to access while on the move.

I’ve used it for walking, hiking, and paddleboarding, and it works great for all of them. It carries what I need without feeling bulky or heavy, and the adjustable straps help it fit securely and comfortably.

If you enjoy being active outdoors and want an easy way to stay hydrated, this is a fantastic option. Highly recommend!

Very lightweight, I was looking for a light pack with a big water carry capacity in this fit the bill. The only thing is you can’t fill up the water before putting it in the pack, it wouldn’t fit through the opening so I had to fit it in first and then fill up the water while it was in the pack already. Everything seems well made though.

Surprising Comfort and Convenience for Hands-Free Hydration

**Title:** Surprising Comfort and Convenience for Hands-Free Hydration

I ordered "Zacro Running Hydration Vest Backpack, Running Vest with 2L Water Bladder for Men Women, Lightweight Water Backpack for Running, Hiking, Climbing, Camping, Cycling." The first thing I noticed is that this vest has two straps across the chest that expand quite a bit. I weigh 150 lb, have a size C chest, and I’m 5 foot 6—so I’m an average size. Once I let those straps out to the full length, it fit snugly but comfortably. On the back, there are two more adjustable straps that allow you to fine-tune the fit, and I imagine most men and women up to XXL can make it work once everything is loosened or tightened. This will also help you optimize its stability, based on where you are comfortable with it siting on your torso.

What’s important to understand is that the design on this vest isn't meant for coverage—it’s a lightweight shell that holds the water bladder and lets you drink mostly hands-free. It has thoughtful pockets for small items like keys or a phone, and while it might feel awkward if you’ve never used a water backpack, it’s practical once you get used to it. I found that adjusting the chest strap and loosening the back straps gave me a perfect, comfortable fit.

The bladder itself is a little tricky at first, and the instructions aren’t great, but once I assembled it empty and familiarized myself with the process, filling it with water was much easier. Overall, the vest seems fairly well-made, and at around $20 as of May 2026, it’s a solid value. I won’t be running with it, but it’s perfect for working outdoors with gloves on, where stopping to grab a water bottle would be a hassle. It’s made in China and isn’t going to survive extreme, rugged adventures, but for light to medium use, it’s exactly what I needed.

Light and Adjustable, But Frustrating to Use

My first impression out of the box was how lightweight this hydration vest is, which is definitely a plus. It also has plenty of adjustability—the straps are fairly long, making it easy to get a comfortable fit.

However, there are several design flaws that made this more of an inconvenience than a simple grab-and-go item. The small clips that are supposed to hold the water bladder in place are extremely tiny and surprisingly difficult to use. It took quite a bit of effort just to get the bag clipped in, and even then, while trying to tuck it into the pocket, it came unclipped again, which was frustrating.

The straw setup also feels poorly thought out. Instead of having a dedicated opening to feed the straw through, you have to remove it from the stopper and thread it through the shoulder strap. That just adds unnecessary steps and makes the whole process more complicated than it needs to be.

I really think this could be a much better product with a few design improvements—larger, easier-to-use clips and a zippered compartment instead of a pouch-style pocket would make a big difference. As it stands, it feels overly complicated, and I don’t want to have to fiddle with it every time I use it.

Overall, it’s lightweight and adjustable, but the design issues take away from the convenience it’s supposed to offer.

Might be good for kids, tight for adults

This hydration backpack would be great if it wasn't so tight. On a larger guy that runs I'm the XXL range, this is very uncomfortable. On smaller frames, it can be adjusted fairly easily. The bladder is removable and stores roughly 2L without leaks and should be good for short hikes as the bladder gets in the way of carrying other things when full. The mesh is light and you can transfer thr bladder to a different pack if needed. It seemed to warm up pretty quickly out in the sun in the desert of NV, but should stay cool enough with a little ice at the start of the trip. I can't speak on quality or longevity due to it being uncomfortable for larger frames, but I didn't notice any issues with stitching or loose threads on my unit.

I bought this for bike rides because standard hydration packs on a bike feel bulky and slide around a lot. This does not! It is really comfortable to wear once long rides and holds a lot of water! It seems lightweight to me and sometimes I forget I even have it on. I dont run, but it should be suitable for about whatever exercise you need to do. I give it an A+ for road biking. It seems like it is made out of a durable fabric and should last several years! Will update with any issues.

This is a super lightweight running vest with lots of adjustability, lots of pockets, and a 2L water bladder that can be used with it as well.

The running vest is made out of mesh and nylon, and has reflective patterns on the back and on the shoulder straps at the front. The vest is nice to wear because it really hugs your chest so there is not much irritating bouncing when you are running with it on. There are four adjustable straps, on your chest and under your ribcage, and two at the sides. I like to have the straps as tight as possible because I don't enjoy when it moves around while I am walking and running. Luckily I am able to modify the fit with all the straps. I appreciate how the majority of the vest is made out of mesh because nothing is grosser than running around and feeling sweaty with a wet piece of fabric clinging to your body.

There are a ton of pockets at the front and on the back. Multiple pockets at the front where you can fit your keys, cell phone, ID, a smaller water bottle, and two at the back (one zippered), for whatever other items your heart desires to bring. If you don't want to use the included hydration pack there is a large pocket at the back which allows you to bring a water bottle (if you are one of those types), you just insert it into the pocket and can easily access it while you are moving. Your water bottle will just as easily slip into the back into the rear pocket.

The 2L hydration pack tucks into the large pocket at the back and you can access the tube and mouth spout from the front. The bladder is made of high-quality TPU, BPA free, and odour resistant.

There are three zippers on the running vest, two at the front, and one on the back, and all are easy to open because of the attached zipper pulls. You can also hang stuff off of the reflective straps at the front and circular hooks attached to some reflective straps at the back.

There is a lot going on with this running vest and not only is it comfortable and lightweight, it also provides you tons of options for storage and accesss. Of course it is great for running but I think this would be ideal for longer hiking sessions as well. Great design and lots of storage, so I would highly recommend you check out this running vest if you are in the market for running, walking, or hiking gear.
