Love the magnetic clip and the fact that a bigger bladder fits!

I bought this Osprey Berm pack for mountain biking, and it’s easily one of the best hydration packs I've used. The chest strap is awesome. It stays tight and doesn’t loosen up while you’re bouncing around on rough trails. Plus, the magnetic clasp is a total game-changer. It makes it super easy to grab the hose for a drink and just snap it back into place without having to look down or fumble with it while riding.Another huge plus is how versatile it is. It's a nice, lightweight, low-profile pack, but the reservoir pocket is actually big enough to customize. I wanted to carry more water for a longer ride, so I tried putting a 2.5L bladder from one of my other Osprey packs into this one. It fit with absolutely no problem.

I’ve taken this pack out for two MTB rides and one normal bike ride, and so far it has met / exceeded expectations. I love that it’s lower profile, and still holds more water than I would need for an average use. I do wish it had a belly band to keep it more secure while biking, but if I load the water pack carefully it seems to shift around less. Excited to test it out on hikes as well!

The materials, stitching, zippers and overall build are excellent like all Osprey products. It is lightweight (19 oz by my measurement) and comfortable to carry. It is very compact without being too cramped.
The zipper design is excellent. The S shaped main compartment zipper is easy to open partway to get in the top or all the way down to get to the bottom. The front compartment zipper is equally well designed but zips down the opposite side of the pack so they compliment each other. The back stuff pouch has strong elastic to hold easy access items in place.
The organization is decent but not amazing. The main compartment has a sleeve for the hydration pack without any other organization. The back zippered pocket has a key keeper and one row of 3 mesh pockets; 1.5"x5", 3"x4-5", and 1.5"x4". The narrow ones are a little too tall which limits the usability for me but if you have a minimalist bike pump and a long/narrow bike tool they might fit. The lip is not elastic so it is difficult to reach into the narrow ones if you put shorter items in them.
I like that the belt is removable because I don't always use it, particularly when using the pack for hiking/walking. Also when using it around town instead of on the trail, it's nice that the shoulder strap hose routing is wide enough to loop the hose back on itself back through the routing sleeve to hold the hose out of the way in an 'unused' position.
The hydration pack works well. One other user commented on difficulty with separating parts for cleaning/filling, but I didn't have any issues. The pouch is closed with a slide that has become standard for water bladders and it slides off easily allowing access to the main opening. The hose is attached by a simple barb connector, which requires a little wiggling to get the hose off but wasn't too difficult for me. My biggest issue with hydration bladders is the cleaning and drying is much more difficult than bottles, but that's true off all bladders, and this one is easier than most. It has a hook on the bottom that makes hanging it upside down for draining easy, and the hose and bite valve come off to allow cleaning and drying them separately.

    Low profile bag!

Had to watch a video to figure out how to open the bladder but once I got it open it was great! I have two camelbak’s that I love but wanted something a little more low profile with a bigger hydration pack. The magnetic attachment on the mouth piece connects to the strap across your chest which is great for keeping the tube out of your way and easily accessible. I wish the second zipper pocket was a little bigger BUT i bought it to be low profile soooo can’t complain too much

I have several Osprey packs. If this fits you, it would be fine and a 4 or 5 star. But I thought it’s fit was way off. Just strange for this brand.

The design, workmanship, and materials couldn’t be better. It’s a lot cheaper than one of the more universally established brands, but there’s absolutely no way in which it is inferior. There’s nothing about it I would change.

Excellent backpack for running hydration. Easy to clean, doesn't leak, and doesn't chafe. Extra pocket is big enough for a phone and some energy gels.
